JSON & Data Tools

JSON is the default format for APIs, configuration, and logs. These tools cover the everyday jobs: making a response readable, finding the comma that breaks a parser, comparing two payloads, and moving data into spreadsheets, YAML files, or typed code.

Start with validation

Most JSON problems are syntax problems. Run unfamiliar data through the validator or formatter first; both use the browser's strict parser, so anything they accept will also be accepted by JSON.parse in your application.

Choosing a conversion

Use JSON to CSV when someone needs to open data in a spreadsheet, JSON to YAML for Kubernetes or CI configuration, and JSON to TypeScript when you want a starting interface for an API response. CSV and YAML conversions work in both directions.

Comparing payloads

JSON Diff normalizes indentation before comparing, so a minified response and a pretty-printed one can be compared directly and only real value changes are shown.
